La Primavera is a European ensemble, dedicated to performing music from the Renaissance and Baroque Periods. Its members come from France, Portugal, Brasilia, Belgium, Russia, Germany and the Netherlands; each has received prizes at national and international competitions. The members are graduates of the Conservatoire National Superieur in Paris, the Akademie für Alte Musik in Bremen, and the conservatories in Utrecht, The Hague, Tilburg and Amsterdam and the Conservatory in Bruges.

La Primavera was created in 1996. Its purpose: interpret beautiful works of the Renaissance and Baroque Periods which have long been forgotten, are little known or are rarely played in public, on instruments of the period. Concerts range from two to ten musicians, and to singers and additional musicians, depending on the requirements of the music.
